Liz Bigler is one of Georgia’s most experienced English as a Second Language instructors. She opened Bigler ESL in 2012 after a long career of teaching Japanese people. Some of her professional highlights include:
Roxanne Vik has worked with Japanese adults and children of all levels since 2014, and joined Bigler ESL in the summer of 2015. She has the certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) from the University of Georgia. Based in Duluth, she teaches ladies, schoolchildren, and businessmen at our Peachtree Corners office. She loves teaching, hiking, and the color pink! Roxanne says, "I love helping people feel confident about feeling heard and understood."
Bill Parson has a certificate in teaching ESL (TESOL) from Kennesaw State University, a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, and an associate's degree in electronics technology. He has over 20 years of classroom experience, teaching ESL and other subjects. Based in the Peachtree City area, Bill teaches on site Business English in a corporate environment, and one-on-one private lessons. He says, “My love of teaching and the feeling I get when I do something to help someone take a step forward in their life are enormously fulfilling and gratifying. I’m really happy to be a part of Bigler ESL.”
Donna Blanton has taught ESOL for more than 4 years. She earned her Global TESOL (ESL) Certification from the University of Georgia, and has been teaching with Bigler ESL since spring of 2016. Based in Norcross, she teaches private and semi-private lessons in our Peachtree Corners office and in student homes. In addition, Donna is a certified French teacher (grades P-12) and has taught French in public and private schools for over 10 years. She is now enthusiastically learning about Japanese language and culture from her students at Bigler ESL.

Jamila Barton received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and English from Tulane University, a CELTA/RSA from the International House in Barcelona, Spain, and an MA in TESOL from Seattle Pacific University. She has seventeen years of teaching experience in EFL, IEP and ESL contexts. She began her teaching career teaching children, adolescents, and adults at the Master Centre d’ Idiomas in Barcelona, Spain and continued teaching IEP, EAP, ESL, ABE, IBEST, and computers at Seattle Central, Bellevue, and North Seattle Colleges as well as the ELS center at Seattle University and the University of Washington. As full-time faculty at North Seattle College, she served as faculty professional development coordinator for two years and tutoring center coordinator for one year. She is an active member of GATESOL, TESOL, AAAL, and COABE and a former board member of WAESOL. Jamila Barton is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in the Applied Linguistics department at Georgia State University to pursue her interest in teacher training and second language acquisition. Other research interests include language and literacy policy, second language reading, English for specific purposes, instructed SLA, and teacher cognition.
Julie Roberts has over 20 years experience teaching English to immigrants from all over the world, and at all levels. Her interest in working with internationals was sparked by the experience of being one herself for two years in Russia! After returning to the USA in 1994 she obtained a Mastersdegree in ESL from Columbia International University, graduating in 1996. She has taught English in the classroom at Georgia Piedmont Technical College for almost 20 years, as well as in private tutoring jobs. She helps students learn in a communicative way and has particular strengths in teaching pronunciation and grammar. She joined Bigler ESL in April 2017.
